Introduction
The Tarn Taran central cooperative bank Limited Tarn Taran was established on dated 24-10-2019 and was registered under Cooperative Societies Act vide Registration Number 1076 dated 02.05.1997. Main objective of this bank is to facilitate the Shareholder Cooperative Societies in the area operation of the bank as a Central Agency in three tier system of Cooperative Credit Structure with the Punjab State Cooperative Bank Ltd. Chandigarh at the Apex Bank Level. The area of operation of this bank covers three tehsils namely Tarn Taran, Patti and Khadoor Sahib and eight blocks namely Tarn Taran, Chohla sahib, Patti, Valtoha, Gandiwind, Naushera Pannuan, Khadoor Sahib and Chabal. This bank has 40 branches. This bank is catering the needs of its customers through its network of 40 branches in the District Tarn Taran with several types of deposits as well as loan schemes as under :-

- Tarn Taran, has been formed a new District of the Punjab State vide Government of the Punjab notification No.1/4/06-RE-II (I)/5545 dated 08.06.2006.
- Reserve Bank of India has granted License No. RPCD. PUNJAB-10, dated 07th March 2012 to this bank to carry on Banking Business in India.
- It is also stated that The Tarn Taran Central Cooperative Bank Limited is also sub member of NPCI (National Payment Corporations of India) vide IIN Number : 607569 through Axis Bank (Direct
- Member) under the PSS Act 2007 of Reserve Bank of India.
